1 A bill to be entitled

2 An act relating to transportation facility

3 designations; providing honorary designations of

4 certain transportation facilities in specified

5 counties; directing the Department of Transportation

6 to erect suitable markers; providing an effective

7 date.

9 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11 Section 1. Bernard Wilkes Ribault River Bridge designated;

12 Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.—

13 (1) The bridge on Moncrief Road West over the Ribault

14 River in Duval County is designated as "Bernard Wilkes Ribault

15 River Bridge."

16 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect

17 suitable markers designating Bernard Wilkes Ribault River Bridge

18 as described in subsection (1).

19 Section 2. Dickey Betts Memorial Highway designated;

20 Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.—

21 (1) That portion of U.S. 41 between North Creek and

22 Blackburn Point Road in Sarasota County is designated as "Dickey

23 Betts Memorial Highway."

24 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to erect

25 suitable markers designating Dickey Betts Memorial Highway as

26 described in subsection (1).

27 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2026.
