Plain English Summary

AI-GENERATED
Expands mosquito district boundaries and requires a 2026 referendum for approval.

The bill redraws the St. Lucie County Mosquito Control District boundaries to include new areas. It replaces a complex legal description with a simpler township and range listing.

Residents in the newly added areas must vote in a November 2026 referendum. The district cannot operate in these new areas unless a majority of voters approve the change.

If the referendum passes, the district gains authority to provide services and exercise powers in the expanded territory. The bill takes effect only upon this voter approval.
