transactions; creating s. 925.13, F.S.; providing for

jurisdiction over virtual currency transactions

originating in this state and when certain acts occur

in this state; providing an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

Section 1. Section 925.13, Florida Statutes, is created to
11
read:

925.13 Jurisdiction; virtual currency transactions.—For
13
the jurisdictional purposes of courts and law enforcement
14
agencies of this state, a virtual currency or bank account into
15
which currency or virtual currency from a transaction
16
originating in this state is traced is deemed to be located in
17
the county in this state where the transaction originated or in
18
any county in this state where any act or acts subjecting such
19
currency or virtual currency to a claim under the laws of this
20
state occurred.

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2026.
