2 An act relating to the Florida Statutes; repealing ss.
3 28.2225, 39.4093, 112.061(4)(d), 250.245, 288.8165,
4 316.5501, 320.08053(4), 321.04(3)(b) and (5),
5 339.08(4), 455.213(16), 553.80(8), 1004.6495(10),
6 1008.22(14), 1008.34(7), and 1008.341(7), F.S., to
7 delete provisions which have become inoperative by
8 noncurrent repeal or expiration and, pursuant to s.
9 11.242(5)(b) and (i), F.S., may be omitted from the
10 2026 Florida Statutes only through a reviser's bill
11 duly enacted by the Legislature; providing an
12 effective date.
14 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
16 Section 1. Section 28.2225, Florida Statutes, is repealed.
17 Reviser's note.—The cited section, which relates to a pilot
18 program for title fraud prevention through identity
19 verification, was repealed pursuant to its own terms,
20 effective July 1, 2025.
21 Section 2. Section 39.4093, Florida Statutes, is repealed.
22 Reviser's note.—The cited section, which relates to the Task
23 Force on the Monitoring of Children in Out-of-Home Care,
24 was repealed pursuant to its own terms, effective June 30,
25 2025.
26 Section 3. Paragraph (d) of subsection (4) of section
27 112.061, Florida Statutes, is repealed.
28 Reviser's note.—The cited paragraph, which relates to an
29 official headquarters for a Lieutenant Governor for conduct
30 of state business, expired pursuant to its own terms,
31 effective July 1, 2025.
32 Section 4. Section 250.245, Florida Statutes, is repealed.
33 Reviser's note.—The cited section, which relates to the Florida
34 National Guard Joint Enlistment Enhancement Program,
35 expired pursuant to its own terms, effective July 1, 2025.
36 Section 5. Section 288.8165, Florida Statutes, is
37 repealed.
38 Reviser's note.—The cited section, which relates to citizen
39 support organizations to provide assistance, funding, and
40 promotional support for the intergovernmental programs of
41 the Department of State, was repealed pursuant to its own
42 terms, effective October 1, 2025.
43 Section 6. Section 316.5501, Florida Statutes, is
44 repealed.
45 Reviser's note.—The cited section, which relates to a permitting
46 program for combination truck tractor, semitrailer, and
47 trailer combination coupled as a single unit subject to
48 certain requirements, automatically expired pursuant to its
49 own terms, effective January 1, 2025, unless reauthorized
50 by the Legislature; the program was not reauthorized.
51 Section 7. Subsection (4) of section 320.08053, Florida
52 Statutes, is repealed.
53 Reviser's note.—The cited subsection, which relates to extension
54 of the presale period for the Florida State Beekeepers
55 Association specialty license plate for an additional 12
56 months, expired pursuant to its own terms, effective July
57 1, 2025.
58 Section 8. Paragraph (b) of subsection (3) and subsection
59 (5) of section 321.04, Florida Statutes, are repealed.
60 Reviser's note.—Paragraph (3)(b), which relates to assignment of
61 one or more patrol officers to the office of the Lieutenant
62 Governor for security services for the 2024-2025 fiscal
63 year only, and subsection (5), which relates to assignment
64 of a patrol officer to a Cabinet member under specified
65 circumstances for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, expired
66 pursuant to their own terms, effective July 1, 2025.
67 Section 9. Subsection (4) of section 339.08, Florida
68 Statutes, is repealed.
69 Reviser's note.—The cited subsection, which relates to
70 appropriation of funds, for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025
71 fiscal years only, to the State Transportation Trust Fund
72 from the General Revenue Fund and the Discretionary Sales
73 Surtax Clearing Trust Fund as provided in the General
74 Appropriations Act, expired pursuant to its own terms,
75 effective July 1, 2025.
76 Section 10. Subsection (16) of section 455.213, Florida
77 Statutes, is repealed.
78 Reviser's note.—The cited subsection, which waives 50 percent of
79 the initial licensing fee for an applicant applying for an
80 initial license for a profession under chapter 455 for the
81 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 fiscal years, expired pursuant to
82 its own terms, effective July 1, 2025.
83 Section 11. Subsection (8) of section 553.80, Florida
84 Statutes, is repealed.
85 Reviser's note.—The cited subsection, which prohibits raising
86 building inspection fees by local governments located in
87 areas designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency
88 disaster declarations for Hurricane Ian or Hurricane Nicole
89 before October 1, 2024, expired pursuant to its own terms,
90 effective June 30, 2025.
91 Section 12. Subsection (10) of section 1004.6495, Florida
92 Statutes, is repealed.
93 Reviser's note.—The cited subsection, which requires
94 establishment, no later than August 31, 2024, by the Board
95 of Governors and the State Board of Education, in
96 consultation with the Florida Center for Students with
97 Unique Abilities, of a state Classification of Instruction
98 Program code for Florida Postsecondary Comprehensive
99 Transition Programs established pursuant to the section,
100 expired pursuant to its own terms, effective July 1, 2025.
101 Section 13. Subsection (14) of section 1008.22, Florida
102 Statutes, is repealed.
103 Reviser's note.—The cited subsection, which relates to an
104 independent review and recommendations relating to the
105 coordinated screening and progress monitoring system under
106 s. 1008.25(9), was repealed pursuant to its own terms,
107 effective July 1, 2025.
108 Section 14. Subsection (7) of section 1008.34, Florida
109 Statutes, is repealed.
110 Reviser's note.—The cited subsection, which relates to providing
111 a transition and requirements for calculation of school and
112 district grades for the 2022-2023 school year, exempting
113 certain schools from specified provisions, and requirements
114 for determining grade 3 retention and high school
115 graduation for the school year, was repealed pursuant to
116 its own terms, effective July 1, 2025.
117 Section 15. Subsection (7) of section 1008.341, Florida
118 Statutes, is repealed.
119 Reviser's note.—The cited subsection, which provides that school
120 improvement ratings will not be calculated for the 2022-
121 2023 school year, and that the State Board of Education
122 shall set a specified scale of ratings pursuant to rule
123 upon the availability of learning gains data in the 2023-
124 2024 school year, was repealed pursuant to its own terms,
125 effective July 1, 2025.
126 Section 16. This act shall take effect on the 60th day
127 after adjournment sine die of the session of the Legislature in
128 which enacted.
