1 A bill to be entitled

2 An act relating to locations of sheriffs’ offices;

3 amending s. 30.10, F.S.; authorizing sheriffs’ offices

4 to be located at any location in the counties, rather

5 than requiring the offices to be at county seats;

6 providing an effective date.

8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10 Section 1. Section 30.10, Florida Statutes, is amended to

11 read:

12 30.10 Place of office.—The place of office of every sheriff

13 may ~~shall~~ be at any location within the county lines ~~seat of the~~

14 ~~county~~ .

15 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
