1 House Resolution

2 A resolution designating February 14, 2026, as

3 "Ukrainian Festival Day" in Florida.

5 WHEREAS, immigrants from Ukraine have come to the United

6 States for the opportunity to work and prosper in freedom and

7 more than 67,000 Ukrainian residents have made their home in

8 this state, and

9 WHEREAS, members of the Ukrainian-American community have

10 made a lasting impact in this state through their contributions

11 to the arts, culture, entertainment, historic and religious

12 institutions and services, and

13 WHEREAS, as a cultural staple in Orlando, the Ukrainian

14 Festival is a symbol of community, recognizing this state's

15 ethnic diversity and celebrating the Ukrainian heritage in

16 happiness, peace, and harmony, and

17 WHEREAS, many Ukrainian Americans maintain strong ties to

18 the people of Ukraine and deeply desire peace, justice, and

19 prosperity for their beloved home country, NOW, THEREFORE,

21 Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

22 Florida:

24 That February 14, 2026, is designated as "Ukrainian

25 Festival Day" in Florida.
