2 An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the

3 Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund within the

4 Executive Office of the Governor; amending s.

5 252.3711, F.S.; abrogating provisions relating to the

6 termination of the trust fund; providing an effective

7 date.

9 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11 Section 1. The Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund

12 within the Executive Office of the Governor, which is to be

13 terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

14 Constitution on February 17, 2026, is re-created. Section 2. Subsection (3) of section 252.3711, Florida

16 Statutes, is amended to read:

17 252.3711 Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund.—

18 ~~(3) In accordance with s. 19(f)(2), Art. III of the State~~

19 ~~Constitution, the Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund~~

20 ~~shall, unless terminated sooner, be terminated 4 years after the~~

21 ~~effective date of this act. Before its scheduled termination,~~

22 ~~the fund shall be reviewed as provided in s. 215.3206(1) and~~

23 ~~(2).~~

24 Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
